This molecule is intimately involved in regulating blood coagulation, platelet degranulation and consequently, clotting in the human body.

Baseline Sample
First responders arrive to the scene of a suspected stroke and begin the process of evaluation, stabilization, and preparation for transport to the hospital. An initial sample is taken by fingerstick to establish baseline GSTP levels.

Serial testing
Using our lateral flow device, repeated tests are utilized to evaluate dynamic changes in GSTP levels and inform clinicians about the timing and evolution of the injuries occurring to their patients in real time.

Decision making
Using GSTP levels in conjugation with clinical judgement and imaging data, clinicians are able to make better decisions regarding the use of powerful clot busting drugs that contain the potential for large benefit but also carry significant risk.
Lateral flow technology & GSTP
In order to measure our patients GSTP levels, we have chosen lateral flow technology which has a long history of cost effectiveness and accuracy. The convenience of GSTP as a marker is its blood based nature, meaning our test is right at home alongside other ER and point of care clinical tests.
